How Much Does it Cost Do Laundry in Your Apartment Building?

I ran laundry today in Dupont. In my building that I already pay 1700 for a studio. Excuse me? A month ago this was $3. No way that two loads of laundry is now $16 in an apartment that I pay $500 more than I paid last year to live in, with no improvements.

Update, my building responded with the following message….

But like why on earth would there need to be a hold of $7 for laundry for every transaction?

While I’m fortunate in that $16 isnt a big deal to have old hold, even temporarily, this could be really awful for someone with less liquid funds. And this is a DC wide company. This is predatory and can really hurt families with lower incomes from doing basic cleaning needs.”
