“An array of Belgian fare and brews will highlight Brasserie Beck’s Belgian National Day, Friday July 21. Commemorated by Belgian’s worldwide, the holiday marks the establishment of an independent Belgium.
Brasserie Beck, the K Street Belgian-French restaurant established by Chef Robert Wiedmaier, will host a mussel eating party on its patio each day Friday through Sunday. Along with the bivalves, the menu will highlight Belgian Liege waffles and an hourly changing list of Belgian beers. The “Best Belgian”, he or she who consumes the most mussels, will be awarded a prize.
