Honey infused goat cheese: what some may say is a great afternoon snack with crackers can now be the name of your new cat! Honey, for short, is one of the sweetest ladies out there. She is very gentle and is known to enjoy a nice window-nap on a sunny day. It may take some time for her to get comfortable with new people, but she is worth the wait because once she does, she is a total love bug who loves to be petted. Unsurprisingly, Honey has a great appetite and loves to eat – especially treats, please! It must be her culinary roots taking hold. Apply today!

Iggy is a gentle and adorable one-eyed hound who is looking for a home where he can enjoy being outside and exploring, particularly when there are so many smells and friends in the neighborhood! Iggy may be 10 years old, but that doesn’t stop him from playing with anyone who is interested — human or dog. Some of Iggy’s new favorite activities include cuddling on the couch, taking walks around the neighborhood, and enjoying some delicious treatos! Iggy is an older pup who is soooo grateful and excited to have a second chance at a better life, with lots of love to give in return. Apply today!

Potomac Harmony is Back! Following a gap year of competing, then virtual rehearsals during the pandemic, followed by the well-earned retirement of our long-term director, a year of a director search, Potomac Harmony hit the regional contest stage in Concord, North Carolina in March for the first time since 2018! It was exhilarating, reaffirming, and rewarding!

The chorus hit all of its goals, the biggest of which was to have fun and sing our best on contest stage — we did both! Because we earned a score over 400 points, our new Director, Allison Lynskey, was awarded the Novice Director award, photo above. Additionally, one of our charter members, Jackie Bottash, was nominated for and honored with the Leadership Excellence award. It was a celebratory weekend!

What’s next? So much! We now look forward to upcoming performances, growing our membership, and expanding our musical product with new arrangements and an education component each week. It’s an exciting time to be part of this ever-growing ensemble!
