“Dear PoPville,
The crash occurred on Thursday, April 13th at about 2:45pm slightly north of the corner of 36th and Garrison St. NW. Unfortunately, he was in a very bad state (and still is- broken ribs, fractured skull, stitches, and extensive road rash), so he doesn’t remember what happened except hearing a car revving up right behind him immediately beforehand.
He was on his bike (not sure of type or color); he’s an avid cyclist, so likely a road bike. And he’s a white male in his early 60s.
EMS came shortly after and picked him up from there to take him to the hospital. A police report has been filed, but police say there are no cameras in the area from which they can pull any possible footage of the crash. He has requested a transcript of the 911 call, but that was just today, so it’s unclear when he might get that.
I’m wondering if there happened to be any witnesses to the crash (maybe the person who called 911?), who remember anything about the car who hit him or any further details of the crash. A long shot, I know, but perhaps someone out there saw something.”
