MPD originally posted around 3pm Sunday: “Alert: Shooting Investigation in the 2400 block of Virginia Avenue, NW. Lookout is for a B/M, no shirt, and wearing black shorts. Suspect last seen running into 2301 E Street, NW.”
This morning MPD responded to a resident with a bit more info:
“The victim and suspect engaged in a verbal altercation. The suspect then produced a firearm and fired toward the victim striking him. The victim was then transported to a nearby hospital for treatment.”
