“Dear PoPville,
I know it’s a small thing, but I’m curious if others ran into the same issue. It’s never happened to me before.
I tried to get a burrito bowl with chips at the upstairs Union Station Chipotle last night. When I got to the register, they told me the shelf full of chips was for online order only and that they couldn’t sell them at the register.
I understand that restaurants can run out of stuff, but they had a whole bunch of chips that I could see. It feels super scammy to me to force customers to break an order into multiple transactions, especially when things usually cost a little bit more online. I gave up and went to a different restaurant.
Does anybody know what’s up with this? Is it a response to some unreasonable corporate quota on app downloads?”
