Thanks to Dave for sending the photo above: “Swingers in Navy Yard is almost ready.”

From Swingers Crazy Golf:

“Swingers – the crazy golf club and high-end entertainment experience founded in London U.K. in 2014 by Jeremy Simmonds and Matt Grech-Smith – announced that its third U.S. location (and fifth in total), Swingers Navy Yard, will open in Washington, D.C.’s Ballpark District on Friday, March 10th, 2023. The newest Swingers location marks their third U.S. opening in less than two years, demonstrating that the twist on mini golf is proving to be an incredibly popular new way to socialize.

Located in the heart of D.C.’s bustling Ballpark District, Swingers Navy Yard will sit at the base of The Kelvin, a thoughtfully-designed, contemporary apartment building by Jair Lynch Real Estate Partners. The crazy golf venue will boast over 23,000 square feet of space spanning two floors and will feature three nine-hole crazy-golf courses, a stunning 750-square-foot patio, multiple cocktail bars and a gourmet street food offering.

“We’ve been blown away by the response from our guests at both Swingers Dupont Circle (DC) and Swingers NoMad (NYC) who love our experiential entertainment, and we can’t wait to bring the same crazy, fun experience for the Ballpark District residents and people coming to the area for a day or night out,” said Matt Grech-Smith, co-CEO and co-founder of Swingers. “Swingers Navy Yard is the perfect fit for a neighborhood known for its love of sports and entertainment and we look forward to opening our doors to the public this March.”

Swingers Navy Yard will offer guests the Swingers’ signature combination of indoor mini golf, cocktails and street food, but will bring a different ambiance than Swingers Dupont Circle, which is modeled on an English country golf club. Swingers Navy Yard features a classic English pub, with funfair inspired crazy golf courses, and even references the venue’s location close to the waterfront, with its Boathouse Bar and Pontoon private hire space. The Swingers’ bars, courses and bookable areas will all be as unique and photogenic as regular guests to Dupont Circle and NoMad have come to expect.

Swingers Navy Yard will offer guests a delicious, high-quality food and beverage experience. In its partnership with D.C.’s KNEAD Hospitality And Design, the venue will feature local gourmet food vendors including Mexican street food from Tu Taco, a southern take on burgers and sandwiches from Lil’ Succotash, oven-fired pizza from KNEADZA Pizza and sweet treats from Mah-Ze-Dahr. The cocktail offering will incorporate signature cocktails from the London and New York locations, as well as a number of cocktails created specifically for Swingers Navy Yard.

Crazy golf tickets (9 holes) for Swingers Navy Yard are on sale now for $24 per person with packages comprising mini golf, food, drink and reserved areas also available. Please visit www.swingers.club/us to reserve your ticket. No ticket is required to walk-in and enjoy the cocktail bars and street food. Guests must be 21 years old or over.

Crazy golf is a British spin on the classic game of mini golf but reinvented for a 21-and-over audience with the addition of craft cocktails served by caddies on the courses, delicious street food and DJs to elevate the experience.”

We’re about a month out from summer. That means you’ve still got time for spring cleaning!

Lexi Grant, an operations manager at Well-Paid Maids, shared her go-to spring cleaning tips with WTOP News. Step one? Declutter. Get rid of items you don’t use, find space for items that need a home and organize those areas.

Then, it’s time to dust. Lexi starts with high-touch surface areas (think: refrigerator, dishwasher, counters, microwave). One area she sees often neglected is the bedroom — and it makes sense. Heavy furniture is difficult to move around, but it’s important to really get in there so dust doesn’t affect your sleep.
