“The Wharf Ice Rink will open for the season on November 23, 2022.

Experience The Wharf Ice Rink–DC’s only over-water ice skating rink. From November through February, come to Transit Pier right outside The Anthem and lace up your skates–bring your own or rent some rink-side–to glide over the ice and enjoy amazing views of the water and monuments.

While you’re here, treat yourself to some hot beverages and seasonal specialties at our nearby restaurants and shops.

THE ICE RINK WILL BE CLOSED TO THE PUBLIC ON WEDNESDAY,
DECEMBER 7, 2022 FOR A PRIVATE EVENT

Regular Hours of Operation

Monday-Tuesday: Closed
Wednesday-Friday: 4pm-10pm
Saturday: 12pm-10pm
Sunday: 12pm-8pm
Special Hours of Operation

November 20 (Southwest Skates! Ice Rink Preview – Only open to SW DC residents; must show proof of residency): 12pm-6pm
November 23 (DCPS Holiday): 12pm-8pm
November 24 (Thanksgiving): 12pm-8pm
December 23 (DCPS Holiday Break): 12pm-10pm
December 24 (Christmas Eve): 12pm-6pm
December 25 (Christmas Day): 12pm-8pm
December 26 – December 30 (DCPS Holiday Break): 12pm-10pm
December 31 (New Years Eve): 12pm-8pm
January 15 (MLK Day): 12pm-5pm
February 20 (Presidents’ Day): 12pm-5pm

Hours of operation are dependent on weather and condition of the ice. The Wharf Ice Rink may close to the public at any time due to a private event. All closures will be shared on this webpage as far in advance as possible.”
