12th Annual Brent Elementary Holiday Tree Pre-Sale Begins

From an email:

“The Brent Elementary School Parent Teacher Association will hold its 12th annual Holiday Sale from Thursday, December 1st – Sunday, December 4th and its online sale from November 8th – 29th. Proceeds are used to provide critical resources to students.

Beautiful fragrant Fraser fir trees, greenery, Hanukkah items, and more will be available for presale starting November 8th at www.brentholidaysale.org. The outdoor, on-lot sale will run from Thursday, December 1st, through Sunday, December 4th and, in addition to trees, will include wreaths, garland, poinsettias, winterberry, and Hanukkah items. All customers will also have the popular option to have their trees delivered on the day of purchase and the option for in-home setup.

Brent parents volunteer to staff every aspect of the sale. “The Holiday Sale is a highlight of the season. It brings current, past, and future Brent families together along with all of our surrounding neighbors,” said Mary Claire York, the sale’s co-chair. “We are excited to continue our holiday tradition this year and to include some of the festive elements of the sale not possible during the pandemic last year. We hope we will be everyone’s first choice when shopping for a tree.”

This year’s on-lot sale will be open at 301 N. Carolina Avenue SE on the following days and times:
Thursday, December 1st – 4pm – 7pm Friday, December 2nd – 4pm – 7pm Saturday, December 3rd – 9am – 5pm Sunday, December 4th – 9am – 5pm”

Join local sketch comedy legends (in our own minds) Brick Penguin for an evening of live, dark, rip-roaring sketch comedy. See D.C.’s longest-running sketch comedy group do what they do best, when they’re not performing across the country in places such as the terrifying Philadelphia, the gooey Chicago, the M&M Store-y New York City, and the crunchy Seattle.

Now, our last show may or may not have mentioned Taylor Swift, and we may have gotten into some trouble from confused Swifties who thought they scored a $15 ticket to a Taylor Swift concert. So, to apologize and clear up any confusion, we’ve decided to dedicate another show to her. We promise she might or might not appear this time.
