What’s up with the bike storage at Union Station? It’s a modern glass building right next to the station, which the mayor and council chair opened to fanfare about a decade ago. Unfortunately, the storage building seems to just sit empty and unused.
I could imagine there are plenty of commuters, like me, who would love secure bike or scooter storage in such a convenient location. Is there a reason that the bike storage is out of commission? Seems like a big missed opportunity, especially with DC’s push to support alternative modes of transportation.”
