“Crash right outside my house (6th and Q St NW) just now. SUV turned into an intersection and struck a small child. Kiddo seems ok (hopefully) but many around were visibly shaken up. Lots of witnesses. This is peak walk-to-school time for parents
People are a menace when they’re commuting by car, especially since most are driving monster vehicles these days. I saw a woman *lay* on her horn as if she the fire trucks and people everywhere surrounding the victim should pay her any attention.”
