500 H Street, NW via Irish Channel
“Dear PoPville,
I relocated to 4th & Mass NW from Kansas City 2 months ago. I’m finally settled, and have been looking for my “go to” neighborhood bar for the past 2 weeks. The other night, I tried Irish Channel (5th and H near the Capital One Arena) and I think it might be “the one.” I noticed a group of people had custom Irish Channel mugs with their names, and seemed to be very friendly with the bartenders.
I didn’t realize it until I got home, but I think deep down, I’m looking for a bar that has a mug with my name printed on it. Are there any other bars downtown with a mug club that I should try out? Bonus if anyone knows what one needs to do at Irish Channel to get a custom mug (I was trying to play it cool on my first visit and did not want to ask.)”
