I wanted to pulse the Shaw and DC community on any improvement they’ve seen from the newly installed crosswalk lights at 8th and Rhode Island NW. Cars are still blowing through the crossing lane even when crosswalk alert lights are illuminated. Also, DC installed the press mechanism for the alert lights so far from the crosswalk for the lights, that the lights are rarely used. Is there a way for DC to fix this issue?” Here’s a video:
