While this home has been recently upgraded and modernized, it exudes the original character + charm of 1922 construction, with its hardwood flooring, arched doorways, timeless moldings, built-in bookshelves, wood burning fireplace, slate roof, gracious front porch, double corner lot entrances to front and side of the home, and window placements at aspects that bring natural lighting across every room. The whole home has been tastefully upgraded between 2017 and 2022: new gourmet kitchen with sitting island; energy efficient windows, lighting + electrical upgrades; central AC; new gas heating boiler; eco-preferable paint throughout; all 4 bathrooms tastefully renovated. The dining room has tons of natural light and flows seamlessly into a brand new gourmet kitchen with eating bar and custom shaker cabinetry, deep sink, and subway tiled backsplash. Off the dining room, there is a four season sun room that makes a perfect office, reading nook, or TV room — and overlooks the spacious, fenced yard. A conveniently located half bath rounds out this well-appointed main level. THE FENCED YARD features magazine worthy landscaping, level yard, a gracious sized ipe wood deck, two car driveway, and a great grilling/dining area. THIS IS A MUST SEE, GEM OF A HOME. Potomac Harmony is Back! Following a gap year of competing, then virtual rehearsals during the pandemic, followed by the well-earned retirement of our long-term director, a year of a director search, Potomac Harmony hit the regional contest stage in Concord, North Carolina in March for the first time since 2018! It was exhilarating, reaffirming, and rewarding!

The chorus hit all of its goals, the biggest of which was to have fun and sing our best on contest stage — we did both! Because we earned a score over 400 points, our new Director, Allison Lynskey, was awarded the Novice Director award, photo above. Additionally, one of our charter members, Jackie Bottash, was nominated for and honored with the Leadership Excellence award. It was a celebratory weekend!

What’s next? So much! We now look forward to upcoming performances, growing our membership, and expanding our musical product with new arrangements and an education component each week. It’s an exciting time to be part of this ever-growing ensemble!
