“His care and priority to keeping everyone safe was truly commendable”

“Dear PoPville,

Monday night there was an employee at the new Aslin on 14th street who handled an unruly character and he certainly deserves some praise/ recognition.

Early in the evening, a man who I believe was unhomed/ I’ve seen him along the streets being unruly before entered the patio and started causing disturbances to the patrons. The employee asked him to leave and the man lost it and punched the employee in the face HARD, kicked him, etc. And the employee ensured everyone around got back and he ultimately succeeded in getting him out without harm to anyone else and the cops came. Very scary to witness.

The employee nearly immediately went back to work, smiling to patrons. I cannot believe he was able to function after that. His care and priority to keeping everyone safe was truly commendable. He and the rest of the staff were awesome (as were the drinks!) and it’s unfortunate someone came in and did such a thing.

My husband and I left a hefty tip in thanks but hope everyone else did the same (or if we can identify the employee’s venmo to do it!)”
