“WHAT: It has been six years since the emblematic Cuban social hub, Colada Shop, opened its doors in the DMV area and brought to Washingtonians the fascinating culinary landscape of the islands’ favorite bites and drinks. Today, Colada Shop continues to embody the spirit of the island and celebrate this vibrant and energetic culture.
To commemorate this very special summer, the team welcomes friends and fans to the annual Piña Colada Festival with a series of limited edition piña coladas.
In addition to the Classic Piña Colada (rum, pineapple, coconut milk, coconut cream), guests will have the opportunity to try three different versions of this tropical trifecta of pineapple, roasted coconut and rum. Offerings include the La Cabaña (Bacardi coconut rum, guanabana mix, pineapple juice, blue curacao); the Joanna Colada (Bacardi coconut rum, Bacardi spiced, pineapple juice, spiced honey syrup and Coco Lopez); and Colada Coreano (Bacardi tropical, Soon Hari Yogurt Soju, Soon Hari Citrus Soju, pineapple juice and coconut syrup). All cocktails are priced at $11.95 in a glass and $13.95 in a pouch.
A limited edition Piña Colada Empanada made with pineapple-coconut filling will also be available for purchase.
The festival will kick off with a tropical party with live D.J. at both D.C. locations on Sunday, July 10th from 2:00PM to 6:00PM. Guests will be able to indulge in a variety of Cuban favorite food specials including our classic pastelitos which are priced at $3.50 each.
