My Aventon Level e-bike is my pride and joy, costing about $2000 with accessories.
It zips around town safely and efficiently. But Sunday night between 930pm and 1145pm, it was stolen from outside the Josephine Butler Parks Center, 2437 15th St. NW, right across the street from busy Malcolm X Park. I’ve attached a few photos of the model, which is dark gray with a gold plate covering the battery with the brand name prominently labeled in black letters.
Mine also sported a white milk crate zip-tied to the real rack, front and back lights, a bell, and a cell phone holder. Maybe someone has seen it?
I already filed a police report, but I’m looking for tips to amplify the search. Can I request the video surveillance from the apartment buildings next door? Should I post flyers in the neighborhood or do a grid search nearby? Put alerts on Craigslist or other sites? I don’t want to give up quite yet, and I don’t want this to happen to anyone else.
