“The Escape Game is opening a new location in Downtown DC, slated to open Friday”

“900 block of F Street, NW next to the Atlantic Building.”

From a press release:

The Escape Game is thrilled to announce its expansion to Downtown DC (950 F Street NW, Suite 106 Washington, DC 20004) slated to open its 24th location on Friday, April 29, 2022.

The Escape Game is a live 60-minute adventure where guests first choose a theme – from a 1950’s prison to submarine missions, or even a classic art heist – then are fully immersed into the environment and tasked with solving puzzles and overcoming challenges as a team. The games provide a unique hands-on experience, designed for families, friends, couples, corporate groups, and anyone else looking for an elevated unplugged adventure.

The company was first established in 2014 and was quickly ranked the #1 thing to do in Nashville. Since then, The Escape Game has expanded to New York City, Orlando, Las Vegas, Chicago, and more, generating over 70,000 five-star reviews and even going on to build experiences for companies like Disney, Amazon, The 49ers, and Nickelodeon.

The Escape Game in Downtown DC will be two stories of the company’s four most iconic escape rooms across 3,700 square feet in the heart of Penn Quarter. The new location will bring unexpected passageways, hidden doors, and storyline twists like never seen before. The Escape Game acquired both DMV locations of Escape Room Live in 2021. The team rebranded the Georgetown location and made improvements to the games such as remodeling the room style, adding The Escape Game’s clue button.

Director of Marketing and Brand at The Escape Game, Teddy Cheek states, “We are excited to bring The Escape Game’s immersive experiences to Downtown DC. Our highly-curated escape rooms are designed by world-class game designers that over four million players have enjoyed nationwide.”

Upon booking, teams can choose from four different adventures for up to 8 people: The Depths, Special Ops: Mysterious Market, The Heist and Prison Break. The price per player is $34.99 and a detailed description and difficulty level of each game can be found online. The games are designed differently than what guests would typically expect in other escape rooms. Meaning, The Escape Game specializes in immersive and exciting entertainment for guests of all ages with no violence in any of the adventures. In addition, each game offers two ways to play with in-store escape rooms as well as at-home virtual escape rooms that can be played from anywhere over Zoom with Remote Adventures.”

We’re about a month out from summer. That means you’ve still got time for spring cleaning!

Lexi Grant, an operations manager at Well-Paid Maids, shared her go-to spring cleaning tips with WTOP News. Step one? Declutter. Get rid of items you don’t use, find space for items that need a home and organize those areas.

Then, it’s time to dust. Lexi starts with high-touch surface areas (think: refrigerator, dishwasher, counters, microwave). One area she sees often neglected is the bedroom — and it makes sense. Heavy furniture is difficult to move around, but it’s important to really get in there so dust doesn’t affect your sleep.
