From a press release:

“Today, Doron Petersan, announces Sticky Fingers Diner will open March 16 at 406 H Street NE, Washington, D.C. to replace Fare Well. The new diner offers a menu of plant-based savory comfort foods with an interior facelift and an expanded selection of sweets. The 2,600-square-foot space will have 56 seats in the dining room and outdoor patio and will be open Wednesday-Sunday, 10am-9pm serving an all-day menu.

“Sticky Fingers has been serving vegan sweets and comfort food for more than 22 years, long before planted-based diets became popular,” says Petersan. “We have two decades of loyal customers locally, and last fall we made many of our treats, mixes, and decorating kits available to ship nationwide. Some of our most popular treats are also available in markets in cities throughout the mid-Atlantic and northeast regions. It just made sense to bring our H Street diner under the same Sticky Fingers umbrella.”

Building on the success of her Columbia Heights bakery Sticky Fingers, the diner menu focuses on forward-thinking throwbacks with inspiration from the classic American diner. The bakery will now have a prominent presence at the diner, with ready-to-eat items, as well as baking mixes and decorating kits for purchase. Petersan plans to have daily donut specials coming in the coming months.

The dining room menu at Sticky Fingers Diner offers a truly unique animal-free dining experience with a wide array of American classic comfort foods and baked savories. All-day breakfast includes chilaquiles, pancakes, and benedict florentine with expanded offerings for weekend brunch. The dinner and lunch selections include a menu of the same familiar offerings including the famous buffalo cauliflower dip, polenta fries, pierogies, and assorted plant-based burgers using Beyond or Impossible patties. Previously only available for pre-order, guests can now order a la carte charcuterie and cheese plates in the dining room. The plant-based boards include all house-made items including cashew-almond cheddar, almond ricotta, vegan pepperoni, and “roast beef”. The beverage program will remain the same with delicious vegan milkshakes, coffee and espresso drinks, and a full bar menu of beers, wines, and specialty cocktails.

Previously mirroring the look and feel of a classic mid-century American diner, the dining room has received a complete facelift to coincide with the new Sticky Fingers look. Wooden banquets and brick walls are new to the dining room with bold pops of orange, pink, yellow, and green incorporated through the space. The dining area has 26 seats and a 10-stool bar. The front of the restaurant has bakery cases for all Sticky Fingers ready-to-eat sweets and cakes and shelves filled with baking and decorating kits for sale. The back outdoor patio space seats twenty.”

Finding a gift for moms can be difficult. Google “Mother’s Day gifts,” and you’ll scroll through endless lists of beauty products, candles and fuzzy robes. Sure, those are sweet, but sometimes it’s fun to surprise loved ones with something a little more, well, practical!

Here’s one idea: Give her a gift certificate for a home cleaning from Well-Paid Maids. It’s the perfect “thank you,” “I love you” or “you’ve got this” for any mom. She can schedule the home cleaning at her convenience and breathe easy knowing she has one less thing to do.

Our cleaners will take care of everything, including vacuuming and mopping as well as cleaning and dusting countertops, tables, mirrors, appliances and more. Sinks, toilets, showers and appliance exteriors also get a good scrub.
