The Craigslist ad says:

Space boasts full, galley kitchen, parkay wood floors, HUGE bedroom closet, large coat closet, AMAZING bathroom with gigantic tub with window, picture windows in bedroom over looking terra-cotta roof to Mt. Pleasant library. Located at 16th and Lamont in a 1938 art deco style bldg. the apt. is 1 blk. from Mt. Pleasant (Marx Cafe, Mt. Pleasant Martket on Sat., Tonic, Hellers Bakery, Best Way (cheapest grocery around), Columbia Heights (Target, Giant, Starbucks, Commonwealth Gastro Pub, Tynan, soon to be IHOP, etc), Adams Morgan (10 min walk), National Zoo and Rock Creek Park. Columbia Heights metro is 2 blks., S1,2,3,4,9 stops within 1 blk. as well as several other bus routes. The neighborhood is great and the unit is just wonderful. Application would need to be filled out with management, subject to approval, move in could be December 1, if not sooner. There is no security deposit required except a $250 non-refundable move in fee. Management covers water and heat, you are responsible for electric (mine runs about $25/mo)." Does $1185 sound reasonable for this studio?

Potomac Harmony is Back! Following a gap year of competing, then virtual rehearsals during the pandemic, followed by the well-earned retirement of our long-term director, a year of a director search, Potomac Harmony hit the regional contest stage in Concord, North Carolina in March for the first time since 2018! It was exhilarating, reaffirming, and rewarding!

The chorus hit all of its goals, the biggest of which was to have fun and sing our best on contest stage — we did both! Because we earned a score over 400 points, our new Director, Allison Lynskey, was awarded the Novice Director award, photo above. Additionally, one of our charter members, Jackie Bottash, was nominated for and honored with the Leadership Excellence award. It was a celebratory weekend!

What’s next? So much! We now look forward to upcoming performances, growing our membership, and expanding our musical product with new arrangements and an education component each week. It’s an exciting time to be part of this ever-growing ensemble!
