“Dear PoPville,
I purchased a home a few years ago and I inherited a useless DIRECTV satellite on my roof and it’s accompanying dangling wires. In retrospect, I should have made it a condition for the prior owner to remove it, but it’s a case of “could’ve, would’ve, should’ve. After years of avoiding this task, I finally want this hideous thing off my roof. From a quick internet search, it seems like the onus is on me to deal with this rather than the satellite company. My question is does anyone have any experience in removing and disposing of a satellite dish (and connecting wires) in a safe and eco-friendly way?“
