“The First District is investigating an attempted armed carjacking that occurred this evening (Wed.) at approximately 6:50pm in the 900 block of 4th St SE. The victim reported that while retrieving a dog from inside their vehicle, a suspect approached from behind and spun them around. The suspect showed a firearm and demanded the keys.

A second suspect stood by. The victim yelled causing both suspects to flee without obtaining any property. No injuries were reported.

The suspects were described as:

S-1: Black Male, 17-25 years of age, wearing a grey jacket, grey pants and dark shoes.
S-2: Black Male, 17-25 years of age, wearing a olive puffy jacket, red hoodie and light pants. One suspect was armed with a handgun. Both suspects were last seen fleeing southbound on 4th St SE.

First District detectives are actively investigating this incident. If any member of the public has information or video of the incident, please contact the First District Detectives Office at (202) 299-2025, or the Metropolitan Police Department’s Command Information Center at (202) 727-9099.”

“The First District is investigating an ADW Gun that occurred this afternoon at approximately 2:50pm in the 500 block of 9th St NE. The victim reported that his vehicle was struck by gunfire while driving in the 500 block of 9th St NE. The victim sustained non life threatening injuries and was transported to a local hospital for treatment. The only lookout information available is a red sedan style vehicle operated by unknown suspect(s), last seen fleeing north on 9th St NE.

First District detectives are actively investigating this incident. If any member of the public has information or video of the incident, please contact the First District Detectives Office at (202) 299-2025, or the Metropolitan Police Department’s Command Information Center at (202) 727-9099.”
