Today’s Rental was chosen for the snowy scene

This rental is located near Eastern Market. The Craigslist ad says:

“$1,850 / 1br – 650ft2 – Steps to Eastern Market – Gorgeous Capitol Hill Apartment (Capitol Hill at Eastern Market)

No better location in the city! This spacious, sunny, one-bedroom garden apartment is literally steps from the renowned Eastern Market and the charming 7th street shops, bars and eateries. Just step outside your door to shop at Trader Joes, sip coffee on the ample patios (with or without your laptop) at mainstays like Peregrine or Radici, meet for wine at the Eastern; dine at the Duck and the Peach or any of the many new restaurants on the block, buy bread at Pain Quotidien, work out at Orange Theory, etc.; peruse Eastern Market for delicacies or antiques….you get the picture.

The space is newly renovated with a fully-equipped kitchen (including quartz counter tops, high-end stainless steel smooth-top range and dishwasher), washer/dryer, central heat and air conditioning. The apartment is less than two blocks from the Eastern Market metro stop and the famous Barracks Row restaurants and shops. Walk a few minutes to the U.S. Capitol (and Senate/House office buildings) Supreme Court and U.S. Capitol, more excellent restaurants and bars, specialty stores, and more boutiques, gourmet delis, parks, etc.

Rent is just $1850 per month. Includes water and sewer.”

Potomac Harmony is Back! Following a gap year of competing, then virtual rehearsals during the pandemic, followed by the well-earned retirement of our long-term director, a year of a director search, Potomac Harmony hit the regional contest stage in Concord, North Carolina in March for the first time since 2018! It was exhilarating, reaffirming, and rewarding!

The chorus hit all of its goals, the biggest of which was to have fun and sing our best on contest stage — we did both! Because we earned a score over 400 points, our new Director, Allison Lynskey, was awarded the Novice Director award, photo above. Additionally, one of our charter members, Jackie Bottash, was nominated for and honored with the Leadership Excellence award. It was a celebratory weekend!

What’s next? So much! We now look forward to upcoming performances, growing our membership, and expanding our musical product with new arrangements and an education component each week. It’s an exciting time to be part of this ever-growing ensemble!
