“Christmas Eve and Christmas Day Food Delivery”

“Dear PoPville,

I was just diagnosed with COVID-19 and therefore won’t be able to travel to see my family for the week as I had planned. I will most likely be FaceTiming in for Christmas Eve dinner and/or Christmas Day lunch. I live alone and would still like to enjoy the holiday with a nice meal. Does anyone know of any restaurants still accepting Christmas Eve / Christmas Day orders and deliveries? Especially for just one person or in smaller quantities? Thank you!!!”

and another reader asked last night: “just cancelled my holiday travel plans so looks like I will be dining solo in DC. Know of any restaurants doing to-go meals for 1 (pick up 12/24)?? I’ve only been able to find options for 2+ people. Thanks!”

Some early responses:

ALBI! Best meal we’ve had during the pandemic. So so so good.”

“Last year I got delivery from @Station4Dc (yum braised short rib)”

“I did founding farmers last year”

“Check out Ris in the west end”

Maketo!!!”
