Fundraiser: “Noah Ramirez was struck by a vehicle in a hit and run while riding his bike in DC”

Thanks to all who passed on the GoFundMe for Noah:

“On early Saturday, November 14th my brother Noah Ramirez was struck by a vehicle in a hit and run while riding his bike in DC. He remains in critical condition and is currently battling for his life. He has suffered several injuries including traumatic brain injury and is expected to have a long and difficult recovery.

We are hopeful Noah will be able to walk and be himself again but we do not know how long this recovery will take.

Noah is a chef and cooking has been his passion since he was a child. He has two beautiful little girls and if you personally know him, he is selfless, kind, funny and a hard worker.

As Noah will not be able to work for a long time we are asking for donations to help the family cover his monthly expenses, transportation and personal care.

We are so thankful for all of the wonderful people that have reached out to us and have kept Noah in their thoughts and prayers. We cannot thank you all enough and cannot wait to have Noah home again.

Thank you”

Potomac Harmony is Back! Following a gap year of competing, then virtual rehearsals during the pandemic, followed by the well-earned retirement of our long-term director, a year of a director search, Potomac Harmony hit the regional contest stage in Concord, North Carolina in March for the first time since 2018! It was exhilarating, reaffirming, and rewarding!

The chorus hit all of its goals, the biggest of which was to have fun and sing our best on contest stage — we did both! Because we earned a score over 400 points, our new Director, Allison Lynskey, was awarded the Novice Director award, photo above. Additionally, one of our charter members, Jackie Bottash, was nominated for and honored with the Leadership Excellence award. It was a celebratory weekend!

What’s next? So much! We now look forward to upcoming performances, growing our membership, and expanding our musical product with new arrangements and an education component each week. It’s an exciting time to be part of this ever-growing ensemble!
