“Eight crazy nights with eight different cheeses?”

From an email:

“Eight crazy nights with eight different cheeses? Let’s get lit!

Paste & Rind Cheese Co., a small cheese business operating out of Tastemakers DC, is so excited to offer our Hanukkah 8 Nights of Cheese Collection!

In this collection, we will be offering a different artisan cheese for each night of the holiday, so you can celebrate in style. Each cheese will be around 2oz, giving you almost a full pound of cheese!

Each cheese will be labeled for the corresponding night, but with no other identifying information, and then every night at 4pm, we’ll reveal the cheese and some fun pairing idea on our instagram @pasteandrind. After the holiday, we will email out a full list of the cheeses for anyone that may have missed the announcements.

These boxes will be available for pick up from 3-7pm on Sunday 11/27 or Monday 11/28 at Tastemakers DC – 2800 10th St. NE 20017, and once they are gone, they are gone!

Get your box here.”

Potomac Harmony is Back! Following a gap year of competing, then virtual rehearsals during the pandemic, followed by the well-earned retirement of our long-term director, a year of a director search, Potomac Harmony hit the regional contest stage in Concord, North Carolina in March for the first time since 2018! It was exhilarating, reaffirming, and rewarding!

The chorus hit all of its goals, the biggest of which was to have fun and sing our best on contest stage — we did both! Because we earned a score over 400 points, our new Director, Allison Lynskey, was awarded the Novice Director award, photo above. Additionally, one of our charter members, Jackie Bottash, was nominated for and honored with the Leadership Excellence award. It was a celebratory weekend!

What’s next? So much! We now look forward to upcoming performances, growing our membership, and expanding our musical product with new arrangements and an education component each week. It’s an exciting time to be part of this ever-growing ensemble!
