Back in September 2020 we learned that The Gourmand would be opening in the former Mr. Chen’s space which has since moved to Cleveland Park. The Gourmand has now opened:
Hours are currently “Tue – Sun: 11:30 am. – 10:00 pm.”

“The Gourmand Grill restaurant was founded and established in Washington DC to bring various dishes adding taste and quality to some traditional combinations and delicacy. Chef Francisco named the Gourmand Grill restaurant in allusion to people who love to eat plenty and delicious.
Our open-concept will showcase what restaurants are not doing as much, and that is executing the most common foods you will find just about anywhere in the city. People use to call it American Eats or Bistro, but we call it an open concept with good eats.”
