“Dear PoPville,

It’s October, so many folks, like myself are dealing the the DC tax system and their (mis)assessment of my home. DC some how figures that my property is worth 100k more than what my wife and I paid for it

(which was already high) but don’t seem to really acknowledge what factors are going into the assessment.

We have a hearing before a judge next week and wanted to know if the the community has had any success or pointers in fighting ridiculously high assessments?”
