“Come join LightHouse DC and The Midlands for a Sunday-Funday Art Fundraiser on August 29th 11 am – 4 pm at the Midlands Beer Garden (3333 Georgia Ave NW)! The event will feature local DC artists. A portion of the proceeds will benefit LightHouse and those they serve.
LightHouse DC helps individuals and families transitioning from homelessness in our community move and furnish their new homes.
LightHouse is the only nonprofit in the DC metro area that consistently offers these critical services. LightHouse believes an unfurnished living room, empty bedroom, or bare kitchen are more like a shelter than a home.
In just three years since founding, LightHouse has helped over 1,000 residents create a stable home and delivered groceries and PPE to over 3,000 residents through its COVID Relief Program.”
