“DC DMV has increased the availability of appointments for those residents who require in-person services.”

From the DMV:

“Following the Mayor’s recent announcement that the Public Health Emergency (PHE) has been extended to May 20, 2021, DC DMV has increased the availability of appointments for those residents who require in-person services.

Examples of services that must be completed in-person at a Service Center include first-time license and REAL ID conversions, first-time Title and Registrations, and Knowledge Testing. For most services, the public can Skip-the-Trip and utilize DC DMV’s online options by visiting dmv.dc.gov or by downloading DC DMV’s mobile app.

Has your REAL ID driver license or REAL ID non-driver identification card (star in upper right-corner) expired, or will it soon expire? If so, DC DMV has made it easier for you to Skip-the-Trip by downloading DC DMV’s mobile app where you can renew your REAL ID credential from your smartphone or other mobile device.

As a reminder, starting October 1, 2021, every air traveler will need a REAL ID compliant credential, or another TSA acceptable form of identification, for domestic air travel.

Note: If you are 70 years or older, you must renew your driver license in-person by scheduling an appointment at a DC DMV Service Center. Learn more here.”

Potomac Harmony is Back! Following a gap year of competing, then virtual rehearsals during the pandemic, followed by the well-earned retirement of our long-term director, a year of a director search, Potomac Harmony hit the regional contest stage in Concord, North Carolina in March for the first time since 2018! It was exhilarating, reaffirming, and rewarding!

The chorus hit all of its goals, the biggest of which was to have fun and sing our best on contest stage — we did both! Because we earned a score over 400 points, our new Director, Allison Lynskey, was awarded the Novice Director award, photo above. Additionally, one of our charter members, Jackie Bottash, was nominated for and honored with the Leadership Excellence award. It was a celebratory weekend!

What’s next? So much! We now look forward to upcoming performances, growing our membership, and expanding our musical product with new arrangements and an education component each week. It’s an exciting time to be part of this ever-growing ensemble!
