Dolcezza Celebrates Saving City Center, Dupont and other locations once thought closed for good, Get a FREE SMALL gelato Friday

1704 Connecticut Ave, NW

Thanks to Martha for the heads up. From Dolcezza:

“WE MADE IT Let’s Celebrate

PHEWWW

This week marks a full year since so many small businesses in DC were ordered to close and, we are THRILLED that one year later our Dupont shop has reopened and – MORE GOOD NEWS- our Bethesda, City Center, and Fairfax locations are OPEN FOR GOOD Our location inside the @hirshhorn will also reopen when the @smithsonian is open to the public again.

The amazing resurrection of shops we thought we had to say goodbye to wouldn’t be possible without our hard working staff, wonderful landlords, the BEST CUSTOMERS EVER, and the always supportive DC community.

So- one year later- we are dubbing March 19 SURVIVAL DAY for Dolcezza and for ALL OF US. To celebrate making it through the last year, we will be giving away a FREE SMALL gelato featuring our exclusive, limited edition CHOCOTORTA flavor, inspired by the classic Argentinian celebration cake full of dulce de leche, cream cheese, chocolate cookies, and coffee.

SEE YOU 3/19 FOR SURVIVAL DAY AND FREE GELATO. WE MADE IT. TOGETHER.”

Potomac Harmony is Back! Following a gap year of competing, then virtual rehearsals during the pandemic, followed by the well-earned retirement of our long-term director, a year of a director search, Potomac Harmony hit the regional contest stage in Concord, North Carolina in March for the first time since 2018! It was exhilarating, reaffirming, and rewarding!

The chorus hit all of its goals, the biggest of which was to have fun and sing our best on contest stage — we did both! Because we earned a score over 400 points, our new Director, Allison Lynskey, was awarded the Novice Director award, photo above. Additionally, one of our charter members, Jackie Bottash, was nominated for and honored with the Leadership Excellence award. It was a celebratory weekend!

What’s next? So much! We now look forward to upcoming performances, growing our membership, and expanding our musical product with new arrangements and an education component each week. It’s an exciting time to be part of this ever-growing ensemble!
