Calvert Woodley Reopened Today!

4339 Connecticut Avenue, NW

From Calvert Woodley:

“On behalf of the entire CW team, I’d like to thank everyone for their incredible kindness, support, and patience while we were closed the last ten days. The many heartfelt notes we received from you meant the world to us, and we take very seriously the trust you place in us. We’re thrilled to announce that we’ll be open today, Monday, March 8th, at our regular time of 10:00 am.

Online ordering is now active again, but please know that we pull orders in the order in which they were received. We’re still finishing up the orders we have from when we closed, but we’re working as hard as we can to fill them as quickly as possible. Please wait to come in until you receive an email confirmation from us that says your order is ready to be picked up.⁣

We’ll continue to limit the number of customers inside the store to 15 at a time, and, of course, curbside pickup is still an option. We’ve missed you and look forward to seeing you soon!⁣”

Potomac Harmony is Back! Following a gap year of competing, then virtual rehearsals during the pandemic, followed by the well-earned retirement of our long-term director, a year of a director search, Potomac Harmony hit the regional contest stage in Concord, North Carolina in March for the first time since 2018! It was exhilarating, reaffirming, and rewarding!

The chorus hit all of its goals, the biggest of which was to have fun and sing our best on contest stage — we did both! Because we earned a score over 400 points, our new Director, Allison Lynskey, was awarded the Novice Director award, photo above. Additionally, one of our charter members, Jackie Bottash, was nominated for and honored with the Leadership Excellence award. It was a celebratory weekend!

What’s next? So much! We now look forward to upcoming performances, growing our membership, and expanding our musical product with new arrangements and an education component each week. It’s an exciting time to be part of this ever-growing ensemble!
