“Cautionary story about an assault and theft in Dupont”

“Dear PoPville,

I wanted to share a cautionary story about an incident that happened in Dupont Friday afternoon. I was walking my dog on S street between 18th and New Hampshire when I saw two guys attack and assault another guy halfway down the block. They pushed him down on the ground and were punching him in the face over and over again.

Apparently they were after his cell phone and once they got it they jumped in a waiting car and drove off. The car was a silver van and had a temporary Maryland tag on the back. The guy was okay other than a fair amount of bleeding and bruising on his face. As we waited for the police to arrive another person said the exact same thing happened to a girl on 22nd street a few days ago. The people that assaulted her also got into a car with temporary Maryland tags. So please be extra careful when walking around with your cell phone in your hand.”

The victim wrote in as well:

“Yesterday I was walking near DuPont (18th and S) and got violently robbed by two men. It happened around 4:15 in the afternoon — still bright out! Steps away from Blue Planet Scuba.”

It’s no secret a dirty home is distracting and even adds stress to your life. And who has the energy to clean after work? That’s why it’s smart to enlist the help of professionals, like Well-Paid Maids.
