“fliers and signs in Park View about Bruce Monroe Community Park”

Georgia and Columbia Road, NW

“Dear PoPville,

Curious if anyone has reached out about the fliers and signs in Park View about Bruce Monroe Community Park, in advance of the upcoming Comprehensive Plan Amendment hearing next week. Since the Court of Appeals case for Bruce Monroe did not go the way of the city, in the Comp Plan, it seems DC is now proposing the park change to a high density commercial zoning space.

It looks like by doing this, they can bypass the back and forth with the community to keep the park and do what they want to do… which is build. This all seems out of line with the Equity Plan that the Park Morton Council developed, as Bruce Monroe is clearly no longer the build first site for Park Morton, and the council has offered other avenues that benefit the PM neighbors. Very interested in what folks in the community are thinking/feeling about the zoning change and the future of this green space (esp in COVID times!).

For many remote workers, a messy home is distracting.

You’re getting pulled into meetings, and your unread emails keep ticking up. But you can’t focus because pet hair tumbleweeds keep floating across the floor, your desk has a fine layer of dust and you keep your video off in meetings so no one sees the chaos behind you.

It’s no secret a dirty home is distracting and even adds stress to your life. And who has the energy to clean after work? That’s why it’s smart to enlist the help of professionals, like Well-Paid Maids.
