Today’s Rental was chosen because I’ve walked past this building at least a thousand times

This rental is located at Georgia Avenue near Taylor St NW. The Craigslist ad says:

“$1,150 / 375ft2 – Spacious Studio (Petworth)

Spacious studio, $1150.00/month, utilities included, except AC and phone/internet, 3 blocks from Metro, in vibrant area. The building is located at 4021 9th St. NW, Washington, DC 20011 (Note: 9th St in front of the building has been closed so it is at 4021 Georgia Avenue, NW on the SE corner of Georgia Ave and Taylor St.). There is a Laundromat next door, a Yes market across the street, a new Safeway 2 blocks away, many restaurants (one of the top new restaurants a little more than a block away), a great coffee house and bars in the area.

The unit may be viewed on Sunday, 1 pm and 3 pm. If that time does not work for you, contact us with a couple of times you are available and we will schedule a tour.”

Ed. Note: PoPville is not affiliated with any ‘Rental of the Day’ properties. Rent at your own risk and proceed with caution as you would with all Craigslist listings.

Potomac Harmony is Back! Following a gap year of competing, then virtual rehearsals during the pandemic, followed by the well-earned retirement of our long-term director, a year of a director search, Potomac Harmony hit the regional contest stage in Concord, North Carolina in March for the first time since 2018! It was exhilarating, reaffirming, and rewarding!

The chorus hit all of its goals, the biggest of which was to have fun and sing our best on contest stage — we did both! Because we earned a score over 400 points, our new Director, Allison Lynskey, was awarded the Novice Director award, photo above. Additionally, one of our charter members, Jackie Bottash, was nominated for and honored with the Leadership Excellence award. It was a celebratory weekend!

What’s next? So much! We now look forward to upcoming performances, growing our membership, and expanding our musical product with new arrangements and an education component each week. It’s an exciting time to be part of this ever-growing ensemble!
