From a press release:
“Beginning today – Wednesday, July 22nd – popular pop-up Muchas Gracias (5029 Connecticut Avenue, NW) is excited to announce the launch of its new lunch service featuring a fresh new line-up of gourmet burritos and more from Executive Chef Christian Irabién.
Available from 11am-3pm Tuesday through Friday, Muchas Gracias is debuting their new line-up of burritos
beginning today priced at $12 each including options such as Camote, Short Rib Birria, Chicken Tinga Roja, Chorizo Con Papas, and Carnitas Chihuahua. For burrito lovers looking to enjoy both a burrito and a bebida/beverage, they will be able to purchase one of two meal combos including the burrito of their choice along with either a housemade agua fresca of the day ($14) or an ice cold Modelo cerveza ($17). Chef Irabién will also be offering the burritos with his housemade “FTS” fermented habanero and carrot hot sauce. For something sweet, Irabién and team will be offering their Tres Leches Cake.
“As our pop-up pivots and adapts along with our neighborhood, we strive to continue providing delicious Mexican flavors while ensuring to keep our team and our patrons safe”, said Executive Chef Christian Irabién of Muchas Gracias. “Growing up in Northern Mexico and West Texas, burritos were – and continue to be – a mainstay staple in the way my family and I eat. This meal, originating in the Mexican state of Chihuahua, wrapped in a toasty flour tortilla is aptly named after a burro — or donkey — because of the way it can carry so much in a tortilla the way a burro can lift or carry on its back. It’s not only nostalgic to me, but also such familiar fare even this far up north in the States. We are excited to fill them with flavors that represent the Muchas Gracias identity well and share them with all of our guests.”
Muchas Gracias is open 11am to 3pm Tuesday through Friday for lunch, and 4pm to 8:45pm Wednesday through Sunday for dinner offering orders for takeout/pickup by calling 202-244-5000 or by placing an order online via www.MuchasGraciasDC.com, or for delivery via Caviar or DoorDash.

Potomac Harmony is Back! Following a gap year of competing, then virtual rehearsals during the pandemic, followed by the well-earned retirement of our long-term director, a year of a director search, Potomac Harmony hit the regional contest stage in Concord, North Carolina in March for the first time since 2018! It was exhilarating, reaffirming, and rewarding!
The chorus hit all of its goals, the biggest of which was to have fun and sing our best on contest stage — we did both! Because we earned a score over 400 points, our new Director, Allison Lynskey, was awarded the Novice Director award, photo above. Additionally, one of our charter members, Jackie Bottash, was nominated for and honored with the Leadership Excellence award. It was a celebratory weekend!
What’s next? So much! We now look forward to upcoming performances, growing our membership, and expanding our musical product with new arrangements and an education component each week. It’s an exciting time to be part of this ever-growing ensemble!
