“Can confirm it’s delicious!”

1143 New Hampshire Ave, NW

Thanks to Annie for reporting: “Mercy Me DC is officially open in West End. It’s inside the newly renovated version of the Wink hotel (Yours Truly). Seems like they’re doing a modified menu for now but they’re serving up Call Your Mother bagels, pastries etc and pizza starting at lunch. Can confirm it’s delicious!”

Their website says:

“A Sorta South American Café, Restaurant and Bar, located at Yours Truly DC, from Andrew Dana and Daniela Moreira, of Timber Pizza and Call Your Mother with Executive Chef Johanna Hellrigl and Beverage Director Micah Wilder.

The Mercy Me cafe is open Wednesday to Sunday 8am to 4pm featuring Sorta South American pastries from Pastry Chef Camila Arango, Call Your Mother bagels, breakfast tacos, grilled pizza, and Ceremony Coffee. Order online or stop by the cafe.

Our space includes two patios that open Saturday 6/20. And, we can’t wait to host you in our socially-distanced dining room when the time is right.

Mercy Me has so much more coming – dinner, cocktails, frozen drinks, late night – so check back for more info soon.”

Check out their menus here.

Potomac Harmony is Back! Following a gap year of competing, then virtual rehearsals during the pandemic, followed by the well-earned retirement of our long-term director, a year of a director search, Potomac Harmony hit the regional contest stage in Concord, North Carolina in March for the first time since 2018! It was exhilarating, reaffirming, and rewarding!

The chorus hit all of its goals, the biggest of which was to have fun and sing our best on contest stage — we did both! Because we earned a score over 400 points, our new Director, Allison Lynskey, was awarded the Novice Director award, photo above. Additionally, one of our charter members, Jackie Bottash, was nominated for and honored with the Leadership Excellence award. It was a celebratory weekend!

What’s next? So much! We now look forward to upcoming performances, growing our membership, and expanding our musical product with new arrangements and an education component each week. It’s an exciting time to be part of this ever-growing ensemble!
