Rebekah asked: “any suggestions for soft serve ice cream in the area? I’m willing to drive up to 45minish outside of the city for it – I’ve been craving it for weeks!”

Initial recs include: “the right answer here is always McDonald’s,

Sonic in Capitol heights. @mmmgoodies for frozen custard! Thomas Sweets in G’town is open and has multiple great soft serve options. I assume Rita’s is open in NE, The one attached to Poppabox on 20th & Eye was open this past weekend, Dairy Queen in VA, Mario’s Pizza in Arlington, Custard shack in Alexandria by the other del ray pizza, Southwest Soda Pop Shop (wharf). Carvel in Arlington, Rita’s on Rhode Island Ave in Woodridge. If they’re open: Wawa (of course) and Thompson’s Ice Cream in Georgetown. I love @YogiCastleArts in Hyattsville. Rode my bike there on Sunday from Ward 6 & was impressed at their COVID setup (gloves, sanitizer). Chick fil A, If you’re into coffee, @VigilanteCoffee is nearby! Sweet Frog in Silver Spring on Colesville, Carmen’s Italian Ice in Rockville is open and serving soft serve custard. They are open until 9pm and as long as you are in line by 9, you will get served. Carvel in Clarendon! DQ up in Frederick is open, Don’t know about the one on Viers Mill Rd in Rockville(Twinbrook). In DC Rita’s and Shake Shacks and there’s always the food truck vendors on the Mall on 4th or 7th Sts usually, @NathansDairyBar in Manassas is a drive but so worth it!! @Surfsidedc has soft serve! There’s a DQ in Rockville. There’s a DQ on Beauregard St. in Alexandria (near Seminary Road/Seminary Towers). Bon Matcha has a great matcha soft serve”

Where’s your go to these days?

See D.C.’s longest-running sketch comedy group do what they do best, when they’re not performing across the country in places such as the terrifying Philadelphia, the gooey Chicago, the M&M Store-y New York City, and the crunchy Seattle.

Now, our last show may or may not have mentioned Taylor Swift, and we may have gotten into some trouble from confused Swifties who thought they scored a $15 ticket to a Taylor Swift concert. So, to apologize and clear up any confusion, we’ve decided to dedicate another show to her. We promise she might or might not appear this time.
