Shots Fired in Petworth just after 11pm near Sherman Circle; Shots Later Fired in 16th Street Heights

“The Fourth District is investigating an unlawful discharge of a weapon that occurred on May 25, 2020, at approximately 11:07 PM in the 4700 block of 8th Street NW. No reported injuries however a vehicle was struck.

Anyone with information or video footage is asked to contact MPD at 202-727-9099 or Text 50411.”

Also from MPD:

“The Fourth District is investigating an unlawful discharge of a weapon that occurred on May 26, 2020, at approximately 1:49 AM in the 1300 block of Madison Street NW. No reported injuries.”

And possibly related to the other helicopter reports:

“The Fourth District is currently investigating a robbery that occurred on May 25, 2020 at approximately 1:54 a.m. in the 1500 block of Upshur Street NW. The victim reports parking her vehicle when the suspect opens the passenger door announcing a robbery. The suspect displays a black colored handgun before fleeing westbound on foot with the victim’s property along with five male individuals. The Suspect is described as a black female, medium complexion, 21-26 years of age, 5’6″ in height; and slim build wearing a grey hoodie.”
