“On April 27, 2020, members of the Fifth District Crime Suppression Team were proactively patrolling the Eckington and Edgewood neighborhoods in relation to a number of recent offenses in the area. Members observed an SUV that was taken in an Armed Carjacking on April 25, 2020. As Officers approached the vehicle numerous subjects fled. In a combined effort patrol officers and Crime Suppression Officers were able to stop and identify the seven occupants of the SUV and recover a semi-automatic handgun, as well as the stolen SUV.
Arrested were 4 juvenile males and 3 juvenile females.
This case and other cases in the area are being actively investigated by Detectives from the Fifth District Detectives Office. Anyone with additional information is asked to call (202)727-9099.”
