Double Shooting in SW around 8:40pm Sat. Night; Shots Fired Reported earlier in Columbia Heights/Adams Morgan and Logan Circle (Fri. Night)

“On April 25, 2020 at approximately 8:40 pm, officers from the First District responded to the Unit Block of N Street SW for a report of a shooting. On the scene, officers located two adult male victims and began to render aid. Both victims had gunshot wounds to their lower extremities and were transported to an area hospital for treatment of non-life threatening injuries.

It is believed that the suspects were in a white vehicle was driving through block during the shooting and was last observed heading toward South Capitol Street after the shots were fired.

First District Detectives area actively investigating this incident. Should anyone have information related to the shooting, please contact the First District Detectives office at (202) 299-2025, or the Metropolitan Police Department’s Command Information Center at (202) 727-9099.”

also in SW earlier last night:

“On April 25, 2020 at approximately 7:30 pm, First District officers were conducting traffic enforcement in the 300 block of M Street SW. During one of their traffic stops, officers recovered a loaded .25 caliber handgun and additional ammunition. The driver and passenger of the vehicle were placed under arrest for various firearms-related charges. One of the defendants has prior firearms violations.”

And 7pm Saturday night readers reported hearing shots fired in Columbia Heights/Adams Morgan. One specific location:

“About 8 gunshots heard near 14th and Fairmont in Columbia Heights”

And Friday night around 10:30pm multiple readers reported hearing shots fired in Logan Circle. One specific location:
