SWEAT DC’s 6-week Spring Transformation Challenge

With just over 20 days until spring and a little over 100 days until summer SWEAT DC knows you need a plan, accountability and a community to help you tone up and get summer ready ASAP.

SWEAT DC, D.C.’s only inclusive & fun fitness studio set in a club, is known for its amazing 6 week programs (as featured in Essence Magazine). Owner Coach G says, “They say it takes 21 days to create a habit, but I’ve found it takes more than that. It takes accountability, a community and support too. Also, though a habit is great, 6 weeks is the perfect time to help people to create a new lifestyle. We welcome all levels and we got your back!”

SWEAT DC launches their 6 week spring transformation challenge on March 2-April 10. Challenge includes:

  • Before/After pics
  • Accountability partner
  • Nutrition plan
  • Home workouts
  • Prize for all teams to take 21 classes in 6 weeks & team to take the most classes
  • $349 for those new to SWEAT ($16/session)
  • Limited to 20 teams

Potomac Harmony is Back! Following a gap year of competing, then virtual rehearsals during the pandemic, followed by the well-earned retirement of our long-term director, a year of a director search, Potomac Harmony hit the regional contest stage in Concord, North Carolina in March for the first time since 2018! It was exhilarating, reaffirming, and rewarding!

The chorus hit all of its goals, the biggest of which was to have fun and sing our best on contest stage — we did both! Because we earned a score over 400 points, our new Director, Allison Lynskey, was awarded the Novice Director award, photo above. Additionally, one of our charter members, Jackie Bottash, was nominated for and honored with the Leadership Excellence award. It was a celebratory weekend!

What’s next? So much! We now look forward to upcoming performances, growing our membership, and expanding our musical product with new arrangements and an education component each week. It’s an exciting time to be part of this ever-growing ensemble!
