Today’s Rental was chosen because it really does look bright. And the exposed brick wall, obviously.

This rental is located at 1129 Fairmont Street, NW. The Craigslist ad says:

“$2625 / 2br – New Two-Bedroom Unit by Columbia Heights!

This two-bedroom terrace level unit has been recently renovated and is in the perfect location! Upon entry, you’ll find a large living area that features exposed brick and recessed lighting. The modern kitchen features stainless steel appliances and a breakfast bar that is perfect for a casual meal. Each of the two bedrooms are ample in size and with two bathrooms, there’s no need to share!

The location of this unit is ideal! It’s situated right between the U Street corridor and Columbia Heights. Columbia Heights is the closest metro and there are tons of buses on nearby Georgia Avenue. Georgia Ave houses a variety of food and nightlife options (Salt and Pepper Grill, NuVegan, Bravo Bar) and is also home to Banneker Rec Center and the Bruce Monroe Community Park. Just up the street on 11th, check out amazing foodie finds such as Bad Saint, El Chucho, and Room 11.

Security deposit equal to one month’s rent. Tenants are responsible for electric. Up to two cats or one dog allowed on a case-by-case basis.”

Ed. Note: PoPville is not affiliated with any ‘Rental of the Day’ properties. Rent at your own risk and proceed with caution as you would with all Craigslist listings.

Potomac Harmony is Back! Following a gap year of competing, then virtual rehearsals during the pandemic, followed by the well-earned retirement of our long-term director, a year of a director search, Potomac Harmony hit the regional contest stage in Concord, North Carolina in March for the first time since 2018! It was exhilarating, reaffirming, and rewarding!

The chorus hit all of its goals, the biggest of which was to have fun and sing our best on contest stage — we did both! Because we earned a score over 400 points, our new Director, Allison Lynskey, was awarded the Novice Director award, photo above. Additionally, one of our charter members, Jackie Bottash, was nominated for and honored with the Leadership Excellence award. It was a celebratory weekend!

What’s next? So much! We now look forward to upcoming performances, growing our membership, and expanding our musical product with new arrangements and an education component each week. It’s an exciting time to be part of this ever-growing ensemble!
