A reader writes in last night from Chinatown: “This guy had a light up hat that said “C*NT” and they [the gym employees] didn’t ask him to remove it. We never directly asked them to remove it because we could see that they saw the hat but no one took initiative to ask him to remove it despite it lighting up and having giant letters.”
Does the gym have an obligation to make the man remove his hat if others find it objectionable?
Ed. Note: It’s hard to see the full writing from the photo above but I did I search (God help the targeted ads I’m about to start seeing) and did find many hats for sale with that word on it.
