One reader first reported around 12:30pm: “Secret Service uniformed and Postal Inspection police at DOJ. 14th between G and NY Ave”

Jack reported just before 1pm: “Any idea what is happening at 14th and New York NW? Homeland security police and secret service cars. Crime scene tape on 14th”
“Was on G Street. FBI Evidence Response team just walked up”
From DC Police Traffic: “Traffic Advisory / Police Activity: 14th Street, New York Ave to F Street, NW closed in both directions. Use alternate routes: 13th Street, NW and 15th Street, NW.”
Updates.

“MPD without any special protection walking in and out of garage.”

“14th/new York response is a suspicious package”
“DOJ has offices in that building”
“I heard from the bank tellers at Wells Fargo in the blocked section that it was some bomb threat, but that’s what I heard from them …it could totally be hearsay.”
“Just walked in, one of the building staff said suspicious package”
