From an email:

“I’m excited to share that Maialino Mare (corner of Tingey and Third streets SE), the highly-anticipated concept from Danny Meyer’s Union Square Hospitality Group (USHG) will open at the Thompson Hotel in The Yards neighborhood Wednesday, January 8! This marks USHG’s first fine-dining foray into the DC market.

The restaurant is a coastal sister to the original Maialino restaurant in New York, and will serve Roman-style seafood pastas like Bombolotti al Orto (winter greens pesto) and Bucatini All’Amatriciana (spicy tomato with guanciale and pecorino), along with hearty dishes for two such as Spigola (salt-baked sea bass), Bistecca alla Fiorentina (dry-aged Porterhouse) or the Maialino (slow-roasted suckling pig).

Maialino Mare’s design takes inspiration from the Navy Yard’s maritime history through color and intimate details. The space captures the warmth and comfort of a true Roman-style trattoria through its use of aged woods, checkered tablecloths, and custom Italian tiles.

Chef Rose Noel, a Maialino alum who most recently served as executive sous chef at Manhatta, will be at the helm as Executive Chef.

Located in the heart of The Yards neighborhood, Maialino Mare will be open every day for dinner from 5 p.m.-10 p.m. (10:30 p.m. Friday & Saturday). Brunch, lunch and other meals will follow soon afterwards.”

For many remote workers, a messy home is distracting.

You’re getting pulled into meetings, and your unread emails keep ticking up. But you can’t focus because pet hair tumbleweeds keep floating across the floor, your desk has a fine layer of dust and you keep your video off in meetings so no one sees the chaos behind you.

It’s no secret a dirty home is distracting and even adds stress to your life. And who has the energy to clean after work? That’s why it’s smart to enlist the help of professionals, like Well-Paid Maids.
