SWEAT DC Rolls Out 7 New Year’s 6 Week Transformation Programs for Every Shape, Size, Age & Goal

SWEAT DC, D.C.’s award winning fitness studio known for their inclusive & fun workout environment doubles down on the inclusive side by rolling out 7 new programs geared to transform many underserved populations in the fitness world.

All the tailored programs are 6 weeks and include Mom Transformation Camp, 20 Pound Weight Loss, Women Only Strength Training, Men’s Only Muscle Building, Teacher Transformation program, SWEAT 50 a new program geared to those over 50 and Silver SWEAT Safe senior fall prevention program.

SWEAT DC owner & community health advocate Coach G says, “The problem with most fitness spaces is that they create a cookie cutter program for all of their members, which will never lead to great individualized results. As a personal trainer for over 15 years with 1000’s of client transformations I realized that everyone comes with personal needs and stories. I’m excited to be able to offer these new special personalized programs at a fraction of the cost (under $30) of private training which can be upwards of $150 a session.”

These programs are limited to 20 people per cohort (first come first served), include 6 weeks of sessions, nutrition guides, pre and post assessments, accountability groups and more.

They all kick off January 6. Early bird special pricing ends December 21.

Potomac Harmony is Back! Following a gap year of competing, then virtual rehearsals during the pandemic, followed by the well-earned retirement of our long-term director, a year of a director search, Potomac Harmony hit the regional contest stage in Concord, North Carolina in March for the first time since 2018! It was exhilarating, reaffirming, and rewarding!

The chorus hit all of its goals, the biggest of which was to have fun and sing our best on contest stage — we did both! Because we earned a score over 400 points, our new Director, Allison Lynskey, was awarded the Novice Director award, photo above. Additionally, one of our charter members, Jackie Bottash, was nominated for and honored with the Leadership Excellence award. It was a celebratory weekend!

What’s next? So much! We now look forward to upcoming performances, growing our membership, and expanding our musical product with new arrangements and an education component each week. It’s an exciting time to be part of this ever-growing ensemble!
