“Parachute Formally Opens First D.C. Store Today!”

1707 14 Street, NW

From an email:

Parachute, the home essentials brand will open its first D.C. store this Friday, November 22nd!

Designed by Parachute Founder + CEO Ariel Kaye, the 1,415 square foot Parachute D.C. store seamlessly brings the brand’s naturally-inspired aesthetic to Logan Circle.

Parachute’s signature arches create ‘moments’ throughout the space, allowing customers to experience Parachute’s products through cozy lounge areas, modular shelving displays, and tabletop vignettes. The design of the store is complemented by plants sourced from local merchants, and work by local artist Jordann Wine. The shop’s color palette is consistent with the brand’s neutral look, but also incorporates modern and industrial influences. Grey and white tones create a calming atmosphere, while brass and black accents contribute a richer, handsome quality to the space. Subtle texture is achieved with a hand-stamped tile, and bold decorative lighting enlivens the space.

At Parachute, feeling is believing. A water installation complete with a working sink will allow our customers to experience the Parachute bath collection, while the impeccable comfort of The Mattress is also on display for customers to test in-person. Parachute’s new rug collection is featured throughout the store, giving customers an intimate look at the hand-crafted, artisan pieces. Overall, our stores are designed more like gathering spaces, welcoming customers to relax and authentically engage with our product and people.

Why D.C.? First launched as digitally-native back in 2014, Parachute has been opening stores in neighborhoods where its customers live, work and shop. Each space upholds its original architecture and incorporates location-specific decor and features. Washington D.C. is Parachute’s eighth location to date, and we’re excited to meet our neighbors in the area!

For many remote workers, a messy home is distracting.

You’re getting pulled into meetings, and your unread emails keep ticking up. But you can’t focus because pet hair tumbleweeds keep floating across the floor, your desk has a fine layer of dust and you keep your video off in meetings so no one sees the chaos behind you.

It’s no secret a dirty home is distracting and even adds stress to your life. And who has the energy to clean after work? That’s why it’s smart to enlist the help of professionals, like Well-Paid Maids.
