Oh my Goodness, Vinoteca closing at 11th and U Street this Sunday

1940 11th Street, NW

Massive news from Washingtonian:

“The U Street Corridor wine bar and restaurant will close on Sunday, November 24, after 12 years of service. The silver lining: owner Paul Carlson says he plans to transform the space–which includes a front patio and rear outdoor bar– into a new concept with his team from nearby all-day cafe and cocktail bar, the Royal.”

Vinoteca launched the local wine bar craze here in 2007. In 2014 they briefly closed for “a little facelift” and in 2018 we heard that they had big renovations plans I don’t think ever happened. Stay tuned for updates as we learn more about the new plans but be sure to stop by before this Sunday if you want one last sip.

Update from Vinoteca:

“Friends, loyal guests, and everyone who has graced us with their presence over the last 12 years. It was 12 years ago this month that we opened our doors, and it is this Sunday that we close this chapter and prepare for the next. Thanks to all who have supported us over the years. And stay tuned to a very exciting new project coming from @paulcarlson05 + @theroyal_dc team in the new year.
.
For now, please come say your farewells starting this Wednesday, with a very special final Flamenco show, and capping off with an all-day brunch on Sunday, “’til the eggs are gone and the Champagne bottles run dry!”

For many remote workers, a messy home is distracting.

You’re getting pulled into meetings, and your unread emails keep ticking up. But you can’t focus because pet hair tumbleweeds keep floating across the floor, your desk has a fine layer of dust and you keep your video off in meetings so no one sees the chaos behind you.

It’s no secret a dirty home is distracting and even adds stress to your life. And who has the energy to clean after work? That’s why it’s smart to enlist the help of professionals, like Well-Paid Maids.
