I’ve been looking on Craigslist for a new apartment and it seems like 90% of rentals available on Craigslist nowadays are scams. I’ve had people ask me to pay a security deposit and sign the lease before I even see the unit or saying they are renting out a unit or house that is currently for sale or even faking email addresses and posing as actual licensed real estate agents – but when I reach to the actual real estate agent, they say it’s a scam!
Has anyone else experienced this lately?
The real question is – where do people find a place to live these days?! Craigslist has always been my go-to but it’s feeling a little sketchy lately.
